  Columbia River Walleye fishing is one of the most relished events by anglers. Back in time, it was not possible to fish this rare breed because the species appeared after the 1950s. Since then, it has become a common practice amongst anglers and fishermen who like to enjoy their time out in river hunting Walleye. An action-packed event, walleyefishing requires a steady hand and lots of reeling in and out. Walleye fishes are thin and long with a gold and olive color. Though fishing is possible throughout the year, the best time to fish for walleye is in the early summer days and spring season. During this season, groups of walleye fish feed on Salmon and Steelhead Smolts traveling downstream. Fishermen can fish as many numbers of fish they wish to do so as there is no legal limit to this species from the Columbia River.
